Bailey is a Colorado girl who recently graduated from Fossil Ridge High School but her heart and soul lives at the beach!  So, when we planned her Senior Portrait Session last Summer, we headed to the closest thing Northern Colorado has to a beach - the Cache La Poudre river.

Bailey was a member of the CSP 2016 Senior Model Team so I knew her session was going to be relaxed and fun!  Bailey has a great sense of humor and an honest, no nonsense approach to life that I love!  An excellent student and competitive tennis player, Bailey is heading to Eckerd College in Florida this Fall where she will be near a real beach.  But for her Senior Portraits, we had the warm sun of Colorado and the cool water of the river to highlight Bailey's brilliant smile and gorgeous hair!

I met this lovely family when their daughter, Lily, became one of my 2015 Senior Models.  I immediately fell in love with them all!  If you know the Taft family, you completely understand why.  You kind of just want to hang around them because they are so, well, just incredibly nice!

When we began planning their Family Session the scenic Cache La Poudre River seemed like the perfect location since Mr. Taft is an avid fisherman.   Once this was decided, we worked on clothing options for each member of the family that would coordinate with the greens and blues of the river and the plans to redecorate the family room where the photos would be displayed.  Mrs. Taft and her daughters did an amazing job of pulling it all together!

The day of their Family Portrait Session began with styling appointments at Trios Aveda Salon and Spa for Mom and her daughters.  It was pouring rain when they arrived at the studio for their professional make up application with Sara Dozier of MAC Cosmetics but these ladies stayed dry thanks to Dad and his umbrella.  What a trooper, serving as shuttle driver and protector of the newly styled hair!  Thankfully when we arrived at the river, the sun was shining!  It was even warm enough that standing in the river didn't make our feet freeze!

Next year, both girls will be away at college and I love knowing that they have beautiful canvases in their family room to remind them of this day spent together.

I am so thrilled to share Kailyn's High School Senior Portrait Session with you!  Kailyn is not only a stunningly beautiful girl, she is also a warm, genuine and intelligent young woman.  High School Seniors have so many different sides to their personalities and I enjoy the variety in these photo sessions.  A member of Rocky Mountain High School's track and cross country teams, Kailyn also enjoys yoga.  So, after her make up application we headed to a loft in Old Town Fort Collins to capture the athletic side of Kailyn. Then she dressed up in heels to focus on her feminine, flirty side.  Next, we headed to the Cache La Poudre River to reveal Kailyn's love of the Colorado outdoors.  We ended our session at sunset next to Warren Lake.  I hope these photos inspire you as you plan your 2013 Senior Portrait Session!

I would love to help you plan your own High School Senior Portraits!  Click here for details and then contact me with any questions or to book your date.  I have just a couple of dates available for August and September so hurry to make sure you make your high school yearbook deadline!
